History
Created in 2007 by Max Gutmann, owner of the Mexican Habanos distributor, for use with Mexican special releases. Because of the design similarities with Montecristo, it was long rumoured that these were Montecristo cigars, sold under the Edmundo Dantes brand because of 'copyright issues' in Mexico. This is untrue. Montecristo cigars are sold in Mexico. Releases There have been three Edición Regional cigars released under the Edmundo Dantes brand.
